He was a truck driver most of his life, retiring from Kenny Jo Trucking. Following retirement he drove a dump truck locally. He had been a Civil Defense member. His interest in the fire service remained and he would always check any new firetruck that came to town. Many of the firetrucks displayed chrome that Estel had provided from his years on the road. He also loved the roar of engines and the excitement of stock car racing.

He is survived by his wife; two sons: Douglas (Lisa) Fox of Fredericktown, Mo., David (Barbara) Fox of Marble Hill; three daughters: Vickie (Gary) Gromer of Marble Hill, Dana (Benny) Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau, and Susan (Kyle) Cook of Glen Allen; two sisters: Dessie Cook of Moro, Ark., and Glenda (Dr. Kenneth) Jones of Deatsville, Ala; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy, and a brother, Donald Fox.

Visitation will be on Tues, Nov. 1, 2016, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Marble Hill United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
