Chuck worked as a commercial pilot, flight instructor, and instructor trainer for over 40 years. His greatest joy in life was flying and his goal was to be the oldest flying pilot in Arkansas. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp.

He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him, including his three sons: Michael Irvin of Woodbridge, Va., Kenneth Irvin of Riverside, Mo., and Douglas (Cyndi) Irvin of Belton, Mo.; granddaughter, Emma Irvin of Alexandria, Va; grandsons: Zachery Smith of Tacoma, Wash., and Jesse Smith of Grandview, Mo.; two brothers: Otho (Edna) Irvin of Marble Hill and Ronnie (Floyce) Irvin of Patton, Mo.; four sisters: Lola Gibson of Marquand, Mo., VIolet Hazelwood of Farmington, Mo., Mary Ferguson of New Jersey, and Glenda Davis of Desoto, Mo. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: Pearly Irvin, Shellie Irvin, Jr., Jerome Irvin and Curtis Irvin, and one sister Beulah McKenna.

Visitation and funeral services will be on Sat., March 18, 2017, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Noon. Rev. Randy Poole will officiate. Inurnment will follow with military honors in Old Union Cemetery near Bessville.">

Clarence "Chuck" Edward Irvin, 76, of Springdale, Ark., passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Born on Sept. 6, 1940, in Bessville, Mo., he was the son of the late Hattie Mae (Hale) and Shellie Roy Irvin, Sr.
