Eldon Frederick Woodfin

Eldon Frederick Woodfin, 82, of Glen Allen, Mo., passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Born on Sept. 5, 1934, near Lutesville, Mo., he was the son of Robert Lee and Opal Edith Francis Woodfin. He married Loma Loris Deck. She survives.

Eldon was a gifted mechanic. He was a mechanic on International farm equipment for many years at Crader Equipment in Marble Hill. In 1987 he opened a small engine repair shop in Glen Allen where he sold and repaired Stihl products until retiring in 2003. He was a long-time member of Little Valley Independent Baptist Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Stan (Pam) Woodfin of Marble Hill; a daughter, Loris (Ron) Lincoln, of Glen Allen; a brother, Gail (Woody) Woodfin of Cape Girardeau; two sisters: Hazel Garner of Advance, Mo., and Darlene Kirkpatrick of O'Fallon, Mo; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers.

Visitation will be on Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from Little Valley Independent Baptist Church near Marble Hill. Revs Jim and T.J. Null will officiate. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery.
