Pervis Loy Lukefahr, Jr

Pervis Loy Lukefahr, Jr., 74, of Leopold, Mo., passed away June 28, 2017, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill, Mo. Born on March 6, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., he was the son of Pervis Loy and Beulah Haupt Lukefahr, Sr.

He and Judy Fay Wisdom were married May 27, 1967, in Bunker, Mo. He served one enlistment in the Army Reserves. He worked for McDonald Douglas Corp. in Missouri and later Braniff Airways in Texas. He began Lukefahr Siding and Windows while living in Texas, and in 1979 moved his business and family back to the family farm in Missouri. He was an Elder in the Marble Hill Bible Chapel and served on the board of directors for the El Nathan Home and Day Spring Camp, and was active with the Gideons.

Pervis Jr. was a competitive sportsman. He golfed as often as possible, enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Lukefahr; two sons: Darren Lukefahr of Jackson, Mo. and Jeff Lukefahr of Leopold; a daughter, Roxanne Brown of Leopold; two brothers: Leroy Lukefahr of Leopold and Jim Lukefahr of Iowa; a sister, Viola Prog of Florrissant, Mo; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His parents and two brothers, Tommy and Lenzel, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Rev. Elijah Allen will officiate. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill. Memorials may be given to the Gideons International organization. > >
