Melba Pauline Fulbright, 91, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Oct. 2, 2017, at Woodland Hills. Born on Oct. 5, 1925, Mayfield, Mo., she was the daughter of James Luther and Flora Adaline Mayfield Cook. She married Charles Edward Fulbright on March 28, 1945. He survives.
During her early life she worked at the Lutesville Shoe Factory, Angelica Garments, and at Updegraff's Market.
Her main job was as a farmer's wife. She worked beside her husband on the family farm and raised a big garden. She was a member of the Jackson Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; her son, Leonard (Judy) Fulbright of Marble Hill; a grandson, Shane Fulbright of Denver, Colo., and a sister, Thelma Bollinger of Jackson, Mo. Her parents and two brothers: Lynwood and Russell Cook, preceded her in death.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Noon. A family friend, Gary Miller, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
