Susan Ruth Hayden, 54, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Nov. 19, 2017, at her home. Born on May 17, 1963, in Tucson, Ariz., she was the daughter of Robert Harold and Peggy Ruth Hawkins Sloatman.
Susan lived in Arizona for most of her life and it is there she fell in love with nature. She moved to Marble Hill thirteen years ago, and she worked as a waitress at Jers Restaurant for 10 years.
Above all, Susan's greatest loves were her two children, Forrest and Emily, whom she was always very proud of. She also loved animals dearly, especially her dog Bonnie Belle. Susan loved life and cherished every moent of it. On any day she could be found hiking through town, finding interesting new trinkets at the Trading Post, or dancing to a classic rock song. She had many friends whom she loved like family, and her door was always open toanyone in need.
She is survived by two children: Forrest and Emily Hayden, both of Marble Hill; her mother, Peggy Ruth Sloatman of Marble Hill; her children's father, Joe Hayden of Arizona, and a sister, Annie Couture, of Tucson, Ariz. Her father, and three brothers, Tim, Robert and Mark Sloatman, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Sat., Nov. 25, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.
Inurnment will follow at a later date.
