Glenn Alfred Carlton, 83, of Marble Hill and Centerville, Mo., passed away at his home in Centerville on Oct. 30, 2018. Born in Brownwood, Mo., on March 15, 1935, he was the son of Agabus Poplin and Floya Bernice Robins Carlton.
He married Consolacion (Connie) Paghacian on July 29, 1986. She survives.
Glen worked for General Motors Company in Pontiac, Michigan, most of his life, retiring in 1983 from a job as an analysist. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cape Girardeau.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; two nieces: Katy (Tom) Smith and Sherry McDonald; and six nephews: Russ and Scott McDonald, Dennis and Richard Hawke, and Mark and Thomas Carlton, II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas; two sisters: Betty McDonald and Wanda Alkins; and a nephew and niece: Larry and Linda McDonald.
Visitation and funeral services will be on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until service time at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Wayland Lively will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
