Frederick Henry Beussink, 88, of Leopold, Mo., died at his home on June 8, 2019. Born near Leopold, Mo., on May 17, 1931, he was the son
of Anthony John and Mary Cecilia Arnzen Beussink. On Oct. 5, 1963, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Thiele at St. John Catholic Church in
Leopold. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1956. Following his military service he enrolled in Bailey Technical School and learned the trade of transmission mechanic. In 1973 he started Beussink Transmission service at Leopold. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and
was active with Missouri Farm Bureau. He was a cattle farmer and a timber farmer, preferring white oak.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; a son: Matthew (Courtney) Beussink of Leopold; five daughters: Joan (John) McWilliams, Julie (Harlan) Elfrink, Nancy Keim, Ann (Mark) Glass, and Susan (Bill) Brandel, all of Leopold; two brothers: Harold Beussink of Marble Hill, Mo., and David Beussink of Jackson, Mo;
two sisters: Patricia Bollinger of Marble Hill and Linda Brown of Jackson; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Charles, Bill, Phillip, Frank, and Joseph, and two sisters: Catherine Brands and Adele Brands.
Visitation will be at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, from 3:00 until 8:00 pm. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Church with Father David Coon, Father Normand Varone, and Deacon Alvin Stoverink officiating. Burial with Navy military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
