Robert Henry "Bob" DeBrock passed away Wed., Feb. 3, 2010, at Woodland Hills Nursing Center in Marble Hill. He was born July 10, 1948, at Lutesville, Mo., the son of Henry and Frances Vandeven DeBrock.

He graduated from Leopold High School in 1966 and served in the Mo National Guard for six years. He retired from working for Dow Chemical Co. after 32 years. In 1978 he married Shannon Abernathy.

Two children survive him: Amy Borders of Zalma, Mo., and Lance DeBrock of Cape Girardeau. Other survivors are two brothers: Melvin DeBrock of Kelso, Mo., and Vincent DeBrock of Marble Hill; three sisters: Bernadette Schlitt of Oran, Donna VanGennip of Marble Hill and Sandy Helderfield of Advance; and three grandchildren. He will especially be missed by Frisky, his loyal, faithful cat.

Visitation is Thurs., Feb. 4, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Parish prayers are at 7 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be Fri., at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Glennon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
